Dr. Herbst is a distinguished optometrist with over 35 years of clinical experience. A proud graduate of Gettysburg College, where he earned a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Biology, he went on to complete his Doctor of Optometry at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (now Salus University).

Certified in therapeutic management of eye disease and glaucoma, Dr. Herbst specializes in complex contact lens fittings—including multifocal designs and advanced lenses for keratoconus—while delivering comprehensive eye care with a patient-centered approach. Known for his precision, empathy, and deep expertise, he has helped thousands maintain and restore vision across decades of practice.

In his spare time he enjoys, golf, skiing and bicycling. Dr. Herbst is also active in several local charities. He is married with two adult children.
